It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Mr. Julius Matiiri Wainaina (Mwarimu Matiiri) of Giatutu village, Kigio Sub-location, Murang’a County on 29th July, 2023, at Prime Care Centre Kenyatta National Hospital — Nairobi.
Loving Husband to the late Edith Wanjiru Wainaina.
Son to the late Danson Kibaka Mugekenyi and the late Peris Wanjiku Kibaka; Stepson to the late Mary Mumbi Kibaka. Son-in-law to the late Benson Macharia Gatigithu and the late Beatrice Wangui Macharia.
Cherished father to Cathrine Wanjiku, Susan Beatrice Wangui and Danson Wainaina. A doting and loving grandfather to Ivan Gathuru, Essie Wambui and Victoria Wanjiru.
Brother to the late Albert Mwaura, Lucy Wairimu, the late Daniel Ndegwa, the late Paul Nganga, Humphrey Kimani, Samuel Chege, James Githengi, the late Rev David Ngumi, the late Elizabeth Njoki and Fred Njoro. Stepbrother to Jane Wairimu, the late Njeri, Gibson Kinene, Francis Ndegwa and the late Gathee.
Beloved brother-in-law to Timothy Kamande and Titus Njonjo among others.
Close family members and friends are meeting daily at his home in Giatutu, Gatanga from 3:00pm for prayers and burial arrangements.
There will be a prayer service at Nairobi Baptist church on Friday, 4th August, 2023 at 6.00p.m.
A memorial service in honour of the deceased will be held on Sunday, 6th August, 2023 in Giatutu, Gatanga from 2:30pm.
The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi on Tuesday, 8th August, 2023, at 8:00am, for a church service at PCEA — Giatutu, at 10:30am followed by Interment at his home in Giatutu village.
