It’s with humble acceptance that we announce the promotion to glory of our matriarch Kogo Nelly Kobilo Kipchillat of Tenges/Eldama Ravine; Baringo, which occurred on Wednesday 4th January, 2023.

Daughter of the late Cheptalam arap Lagat and the late Kabon Cheptalam.

Wife of the late Mzee Stephen Kipchillat Kigen. Mother to Elima Kigen, Dr. Richard Kipchillat, the late Willie Kipchillat, Dr. Alice Chesire, Prof. Prisca Tuitoek, Dr. Cynthia Kipchillat and Sammy Kipchillat. She was also mother to Silas, the late Leah, Jebonarok Wanjau, Laura Jebita, Grace, Dr. Nancy, Kiplagat, Kimaru Kipchillat Komen, Bethwel Kipkios, Christine Ng’otie, among others.

Mother-in-law to Catherine Kipchillat, Roxana Kandie, the late Hon. Reuben Chesire, Hon. Dr. Daniel Tuitoek, the late Elizabeth Rerimoi-Kipchilat, among others. She was a grandmother of 20 and great-grandmother of 12.

Sister to the late Samoei arap Cheptalam, late Miriam Kobilo Tapkigen, the late William Arap Ngetich, the late Taputich Chesumbai, Agui arap Setanei, Stephen Kimurei Talam, the late Edword Barssekechi, Kobilo Kabirir, Kimoi KapTutuny, and Arap Konyaei. She was Senge to many.

Meetings and devotions are going on daily at Kipchillat’s home, Kampi ya Motto.

Funeral will take place at Kampi ya Moto on Saturday 14th January 2023.
