Lazarus Momanyi

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Lazarus Momanyi of Lamonya Insurance Agency on 28th September, 2022, after a long illness bravely born.

Husband to Prof. Clara Samiji Momanyi, Council Member of Moi University. Father to Victor Omiti Momanyi, Vincent Ogendi Momanyi, Kenneth Samiji Monlanyi and Myra Kemunto Momanyi.

Son of the late Ayub Omiti and the late Miriam Kemunto. Brother to the late Samuel, Sara, Daniel, Nathan, Noah, Benjamin, Meshack and Joseph.

Son-in-law to the late Stephen Samiji and Stella Mwanahawa. Father-in- law to Winnie Nyambane and grandfather to Andrew and Hazel.

Cousin to Zeddy Ogendi, William Ogendi, Dr. James Masita, amongst others. Uncle and friend to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at his residence in Phenom Estate, Langata. Nairobi from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.

A memorial service will be held on 5th October, 2022 at A.C.K St Paul’s Church, South C, Nairobi at 11:00am followed by a fundraiser at the same venue.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Services on Thursday, 6th October, 2022 at 9:00am. Funeral service will be held on 7th October, 2022 at SDA Church grounds and thereafter burial at his farm in Motagara, Nyamira County.
