It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce that our matriarch, Mrs. Leah Chesang Korir Koros has gone to be with the Lord.

Wife to the late Rasto Koros of Kipsonoi.

Daughter of the late Kipkeron Korir and the late Sarah Korir of Kipielji, Bomet Central and daughter-in-law of the late Malabui and the late Tapsermaat Maritim of Kimaawit, Sotik.

Sister to the late Marindany, the late Nathaniel, the late Segerger, the late Chebochok, the late Joel Sitienei, Jonathan Matwek, John Kosilei and Joseah Matwek.

Sister-in-law to the late Kimalel Koros, the late Zeddy Mosonik, the late Kiplang’at Koros and the late Kipkurgat Koros all of Kimawit Village, Sotik Sub-county.

Loving mother to Jennifer and Thomas Chepkwony, the late Peter Kirui, the late Evaline Chepkemoi, Wesley Kirui (KNEC) and Lilian Kerio (KALRO, Nairobi), Dr. Rose Koros (KAA), Ms. Josephine Koros (Chebole Primary School), Ms. Florence Koros (Cornerstone Preparatory Academy), Mercy Rotich (Moi Educational Centre) and Martin Rotich (Government Delivery Services).

A dotting grandmother to Fridah, Kimutai, Fancy, Victor, Gloria, Brian, Davis, Anastasia, Noah, Mercy, Sheila, Stellate, Sheryl, Faith, Ryan, Emmanuel, Patrick, Gertrude, Mark, Melanie, Morgan, Emmanuel, Eugene, Michelle and Newton. She was a great-grandmother to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at Katani Syokimau and at home in Chebango village, Kipsonoi in Sotik Sub-county.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home on Friday 2nd June, 2023 at 8:00am for overnight stay. Funeral service and burial will be held on Saturday 3rd June, 2023 from 10:00am in Chebango Village, Kipsonoi Sub-location, Sotik Sub-county in Bomet County.
