1st Anniversary /Appreciation

14/1/2000 — 5/9/2021

It is exactly 371 days since you suddenly departed from this world! However, to those who loved and treasured you so immensely, it just seems like yesterday! To say that our world as we knew it was shattered is an understatement! We are however comforted by the fact that you are no longer suffering and that the Lord finally healed you from the 6 year battle with epilepsy! You bravely fought this highly stigmatized condition and you did not let it define your life! Your life was a rather short but well and fully-lived life. Every day that passes, is a day nearer to meeting you again!

You were selfless, kind and always ready to help especially the under privileged in society. In your honor and memory, family and friends have formed a foundation, The Lewis Mathenge Foundation, to advocate for the welfare of persons living with epilepsy and also create awareness on SUDEP (sudden unexplained death in persons living with epilepsy).

“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.” “To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die”- Thomas Campbell
