Lily Umawatti Ogola
Appreciation & Thanks
13th March, 1932 – 18th December, 2022
The family of Lily Umawatti Ogola (nee Adhar) convey our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the relatives, friends, and well-wishers for their kind messages of condolence, prayers, tributes and actions of comfort, empathy and encouragement through calls, texts, and physical visits to our home through the illness, death and interment of our mum, Lily Ogola. Thank you too for the generous material support that was extended towards meeting the medical and funeral expenses.
Special mention must be made of Dr. Geoffrey Githua and the staff of Maria Immaculata Hospital for endeavouring in alleviating her pain and discomfort during her illness and her carers Fidel, Francisca, Judy and Gladys who attended to her day-to-day needs. The team at Lee Funeral Home —Thank you. All the members of the Satellite English congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnessess, Brother Jared Otieno of Ngong North, Brother James and Mary Kimani of Nakuru — thank you for your spiritual participation in the funeral arrangements and for the prayers, advice, words of comfort and encouragement.
Friends of the family, especially the Amadi’s and Sister Virginia Mugo, colleagues of her son Carl Ogola at Elephence Ltd, and all his friends including the Nairobi School alumni (particularly the class of 1974), and those members of Bharatwalla (ex-India universities alumni) for their kind and generous material support — asanteni sana.
Finally, but not least, our prayer of gratitude to Jehovah, for giving her the strength and fortitude and making a way for all the years of her life, for her to serve Him with humility and zeal.
But as for you go on to the end. You will rest, but you will stand up for your lot at the end of the days. Daniel 12:13
