It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our dear Mum Lucia Wanjiku Kuria of Gakoe-ini Village, Mutheru Sub-Location, Kibage Location, Kandara Sub-County, Murang’a County.

Wife of the late Daniel Kuria.

Daughter to the late Joseph Njuguna (Thitwa) and Jane Wanjiru (Magiri). Sister to the late Eunice Waithira and Tabitha Muthoni.

Mother to Mary Muthoni, Jane Muchunu, Joseph Njuguna, John Mwambura, Micheal Mworia, the late George Maina, Beth Mukuhi, Rev. Fr. William Kamau (Catholic Diocese of Murang’a), the late Russeter Waithira and Charles Gikuru.

Mother in-law to Mary Wanjiku, Nancy Wairimu, Jane Wangari, Catherine Njeri, Leah Wangeci, Peter Kairo, Jacob Kigoro and Patrick Ndirangu. Grandmother and Great Grandmother to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home Gakoe-ini for prayers, mass and burial preparations.

The cortege leaves K.U Referral Hospital Funeral Home on Friday, 7th July, 2023 at 8.00a.m, thereafter Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Gakoe-ini Catholic Church, Mariira Catholic Parish starting from 10.30am, followed by burial at her home Gakoe-ini Village Murang’a County.
