We celebrate the life of (Mama MCA) Lucille Mokeira Araka who lost her miracle of existence on 17Th May, 2023 after a short ailment.

Beloved wife of Prof. Jeremire Masagate Araka of Marani, Kisii County and Ongata Rongai.

She was the daughter of Daudi Mang’uti and Jerusa Kwamboka (both Late) of Bobasi, Kisii. Daughter-in-law of Laurent Araka& Pacifica Nyaitondi (both Late) of Marani, Kisii.

Cherished mother of David Masagate (Texas, U.S.A), Juvenal Araka (INAPS Kenya/ Ministry of Agriculture), Arch. Susan Araka (SDHUD & UN-Habitat), Louise Araka (Equity Bank) and Mary Araka (Global Ecology Restoration Foundation, Dar es salaam).

Doting grandie of Lisa Masagate, Jeremy Masagate, Amani Masagate, Ayan Mokeira, Mokeira Wanjiru, Araka Njeru, Nia Mokeira, Neil Ombui, Nathaniel Masega and Meghan Dennis.

Mother-in-law to Esther Masagate, Harriet Mwende, Gideon Ombui, Dennis Mghona.

Sister to Siro, Oriku (L.) Nyantika, Margaret, Prisca and Hellen.

Sister-in-law to Francis (L.) & Esnas, Elizabeth & Ontita, Anna & Omondi(L), David (L.), Julius & Nyaboke (both L), Margaret & Mukaya, Florence & Ondara(L.), Peter & Florence, Henry &Venny (L.) Dr. Julius & Elder, Siro, Angwenyi, Nyaboke, Nyandieka and Momanyi.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi at noon, for a Requiem Mass at The Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Kandisi next to Ongata Rongai SGR Railway Station on Monday 29th May, 2023 at 1:00pm. She will be laid to rest on Tuesday 30th May, 2023 in Rangau, Ongata Rongai.

Friends, relatives and well-wishers are meeting daily for prayers at her Rangau, Ongata Rongai home.
