It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s divine will that we announce the passing on of Lucy Mugure Kawanjiku on 22nd June 2022 after a short illness.

Loving wife to Hon. Njuguna Kawanjiku Mweiga Ward MCA, Kieni Constituency, Nyeri County. She was a caring mother to Wesly Kawanjiku, Carvin Kawanjiku and Kimberlin Kawanjiku.

Sister to Matthew Irungu, Michael Wakamau, George Waihenya and Simon (Rikish).

Daughter-in-law to Mary Wanjiku Ngunju (Mweiga), Irene Wangechi Ngunju (USA), Jane Wangui, Bancy Wairimu among others.

Aunty to Jane Waigumo, Priscillah Wanjiku, Quenter Lucy Mugure, Isaac Mwangi and Peter Mwangi.

Family and friends are gathering daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at their home in Mweiga Town (County Government Estate).

The cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home on Thursday, 30th June 2022 at 8:00 am for a funeral service that will take place at Mweiga stadium in Kieni Constituency, Nyeri County starting from 10:00 am and burial thereafter at her matrimonial home in Mweiga Town.
