In honour of a life well-lived, we celebrate the life of Lucy Wairimu Munoru (Retired KNH Senior Assistant Chief Nurse) who peacefully passed away on 16th March 2023 after braving a long illness.

Lucy was a doting daughter to Mary Micere and the late Peter Ngahu.

She was a dear wife to the late Dr. Wilfred Munoru and a devoted mother to Angie Muigai (KOKO), Millie Muigai (Malaica), Ivy Muigai (World Vision), and Noella Wanjiku (ADMI). Mother-in-law to Nassir Amiyo and Pastor Vincent Mwendwa. Cucu to Asmahan, Arniyo and Chozeh.

Loving sister to Dr. Catherine Ngahu, Patrick Ngahu, Genard Kanyiri, Margaret Kiuri, Edah Ngahu, Martin Ngahu, Gregory Ngahu, Boniface Ngahu, Julia Muthee and Nicholas Ngahu.

Sister by marriage to Engineer Joseph Muturi, Rose Njeri, the late Engineer Peter Gachau, Ruth Gachanja, the late Gibson Wanjihia, Margaret, Njuguna, the late Loise, Wallace, the late Nzilani, Owen, Naomi, Kiuri, Munyi, Abigail and Mwangi Muthee.

Step-daughter to the late Arthur Peter Murimi. Step-sister to the late Veronica, Lucy, Agnes, Mary, Magdalene, Stephen and Josephine. Auntie, cousin, colleague and friend to many.

Meetings are being held at her home in Langata from 5.30pm and at All Saints Cathedral (St. James Hall) on 23rd and 24th March 2023 from 5:30pm.

A Requiem Mass will be held at Don Bosco, Upper Hill, Nairobi on Tuesday, 28th March 2023, from 2:00pm.

The funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, 29th March 2023 at St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Githumu, Gitare, followed by a burial ceremony at her matrimonial home in Githumu, Murang’a County.
