It is with humble acceptance of God’s will we inform you of the sudden demise of Major (Rtd) Gabriel Mbogo Karigey, following an automobile accident in Nairobi on Friday, 2nd December, 2022.

He is the beloved son to the late Mwalimu Ephantus Karigi M’Rui and the late Cecilia Nguru Karigi. Beloved Dad to Cynthia Wanyaga Karigey (Canada). Beloved Brother to the late Jeni Njoki, Christopher Mugambi, Mwalimu Sarah Marigu, the late Victor Nyaga, the late Peter Njeru, Laura Warue and Bias Mutembei.

Daily prayers and funeral arrangement meetings are being held in Nairobi at the College of Insurance, Swimming Pool Lounge Auditorium – South C Campus, opposite Ministry of Energy Headquarters – KEWI House from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and at his ancestral home – Ena, Embu County starting from 3:00pm.

A Requiem Mass will be held in his honour on Saturday, 17t’ December, 2022 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church – South B, Nairobi at 3:00pm.

The interment will be on Tuesday, 20th December, 2022 at his ancestral home – Ena, Embu County.

We thank God for the years we were all blessed to share with Major Karigey.

    Please accept my most sincere condolences for this great loss! I loved this man deeply and will cherish our daughter, Olivia, as the most priceless gift anyone ever gave me. I was shocked and saddened by his unexpected demise. I have many wonderful memories with him that I will hold close to my heart forever. He was so special in so many ways! R.I.P. Juma! I will love and miss you forever!
