With heavy hearts we announce the death of Mama Cerrina Achola Otieno.
Beloved wife of Peter Otieno Ochako. Loving Mother to Argwings (Josephine), Isaiah (Saumu), Charles (Lucy), Emily (the late David) and Dina (Osoro).
Daughter to the late Isaiah and Sibia Omolo. Daughter-in-law to the late Wilson and Beth-Sheeba, Dorca Ochako. Sister to the late Elkanah, Esther, Nicholas, Matthew, Matabel, Rhoda, Awino, Grace. Sister-in-law to the late Abednego Abong’o, the late Lawi Oloo,Tshelemia Ochako, Tom Nyaare, Zadock Ochako, the late Otieno Ochako, the Okoko’s Simeon, the late Ishmael, the late Shadrack, the late Omiti,the late Owino, Eng Tom, Robert, Amon, Walter, among others.
Sister-in-love to Peninah Osano, Elgah Onanda, Ruth Obiero, Naomi Akello, Mary Raballa, the late Akinyi, the late Achieng,Apondi Ochako. Grandmother to Agrippa, Cerrina, Mandela, Marco, Beth-Sheeba, Olivia Chelsea, William, Nehema, Isaac among others. She was a sister, friend, grandmother, sister in-law, aunt, niece and a confidant to many.
Burial will be held at Rawinji Village, in yugis Homabay County on Friday, 27th May. 2022.

Mum was a true mum, and we occasionally rub each other the wrong way but somehow we made up. A couple of years ago when her grandson (Isa Aka Victor my son) was unexplainably sick, mum nursed him back to health using some natural concoctions (don’t ask me which) and back 100% skipping and jumping and doing what young lads do.
I will enterally remember her.
I was named after her dad (Isaiah) and she used to tell me “my dad wouldn’t allow that” when i veered off the straight path.
