We are saddened to announce the death of Mama Emily Mkawughanga Matunda Msagha which happened on 2nd April, 2022.

The second born of the late Nyange Mwadime (Mwangecho wa Mwadu) and the late Mghambi wa Mwaruta.

Sister to the late Maghema Ngoma, the late Ngaluma Nyange, the late Mwaruta Nyange and the late Righa (Mnjau) Nyange.

Wife to the late Athanasius Msagha Mwaighacho.

Mother to Jessai Mwafusi, Elijah Sadala, Lucy Wabosha, Priscillah Mshai, Justice Amraphael Mbogholi Msagha, the late Peter Mwaighacho, Luka Mwambanga, Jones Nyange, Charity Mghambi and the late Mariana Mkang’ombe.

Mother-in-law to Caroline Mwafusi, Getrude Sadala, the late Lilian Mbogholi, Philomena Mwambanga and Jennifer Nyange.

Aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary – Mombasa – on Thursday the 7th of April, 2022, for Mwanda Njawuli lvunyi in Taita Taveta County, where she will be laid to rest on Friday, 8th April, 2022 from 10am.

Mao you fought a great fight. It’s now time for you to take a deserved eternal rest. We loved you but God loves you more. Rest in peace Mao till we meet again.
