Mama Hellen Moraa Osano

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Mama Hellen Moraa Osano at Tenwek Mission Hospital on Tuesday 7th January, 2020 while undergoing open heart surgery.

First born daughter to late Ongwacho Onyancha and Kerubo Ongwacho. Loving wife of John Nyabena, Daughter in-law to late Yuvenaris Nyabena and Maria Rosa Nyabena, late Oigo, late Obwoge, late Ombaba, late Nyambeki, late Kibeti, late Aguta, late Ooga, late Makori, late Oyaro, Siro, Birundu, late Nyambongi, late Nyakundi, Hon. Dr. Chris Bichage. Niece to the Bichage’s. Loving mother of Rose, Charles (World Vision Kenya), Lydia, Sylvester (Asana Joska), Evelyne, Henry, Bernard and Veronica. Mother in-law to Nyamongo Nakuru, Janet-Marie Stopes Kenya and Jacquiline-Komarock Modern Hospital Nrb.

Grandmother of Brian, Ivy, Ian, Steve, Diana, Ivan, Jerry, Larry, Jayden, Andre, the Moraas. Korera of the late Ombane Marita and Clemencia Maturu, Late Zablon Ratemo and Jane Bosibori, Annington Chweya and Priscilla Chweya. Sister of The late Simon, Elkanah, Jane, Naftal, Florence, Bernard and Caren among others.

Sister in law of The late Mokoro, Nyambong’i Ochenge and Ondieki, Nicholas, Pauline, Leah, Onkoba, Ochenges, Gekonges, Orinas, Mokoros, Osanos, Obwoges, Makoris among others. Step-mother of The Orinas, Advocate Steve Orina-Nakuru, Col Chris Orina-African Union, Advocate Geoffrey Orinal Nrb among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at: Her residence – Eremo village; Tumaini house – Nairobi; Rigena – Nakuru and Kisii – Mwalimu Hotel.

There will be a fundraiser on 14th January, 2020 at the above mentioned venues towards defraying medical and burial expenses.

The cortege leaves Tenwek Mission Hospital on Thursday 16th January, 2020 for a funeral service at St. Joseph Parish Amasago, Keumbu and thereafter an overnight stay at her Eremo home.

Funeral service and burial will take place on Friday 17th January 2020 at her family home-Eremo village at 10am.
