Mama Hilda Achieng’ Rayola

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mama Hilda Achieng’ Rayola that occurred on 23rd July 2017.The late Hilda Achieng’ Rayola (Nyajwang’) was born around 1899 to the late Mzee Ajuang’ Oyugi and the late Mama Rebecca Dondi in Ugenya Kager. Wife of the late Amos Rayola.

Mother of the late Phoebe Okara of Asembo, Gladys Oyieng’of Asembo, Zaddock Ogolla of Alego, Emma Odhiambo, Margaret Rayola of USA, John Benard Onyango, Willis Odhiambo, the late George Awinyo, the late Eunice Akinyi, John Otieno, Pauline Menya, Joshua Mbeja and the late Boaz Opuro. Mother-in-law of the late John Okara, Douglas Oyieng’, the late Jeff Odhiambo, Alice Ogola, Eunice Onyango, Mary Odhiambo, the late Rose Awinyo, Carol Otieno, Joseph Menya, Peres Ochieng and Ogenga. Grandmother of Janet Okara, Caroline Oyieng’, Beatrice Ogolla, the late Andrew Ogwel, Ken Onyango,Caroline Odhiambo, Lameck Awinyo, the late Otieno Ogenga, Omondi Otieno, Faith Achieng’, Dorothy Amondi and Amos Opuro among others. She is survived by 72 grandchildren, 99 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Agha Khan Hospital in Kisumu on Wednesday August 2, 2017 (today) at 10am for a requiem mass at ACK St Marks Migosi and burial on August 3, 2017 at her home in Nyang’oma village in Alego, Siaya County.
