Mama Janet Olang’o Abuga

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mama Janet Olang’o Abuga which occurred on 9th April, 2022.

She was the daughter of the late Mzee Yongo Mata and Mama Anyango Nyolang’o of South Uyoma Agok, Rarieda Sub-County, Siaya County.

She was the wife of the late Mzee Japheth Abuga of Ngere Kobita, Seme Sub-County, Kisumu County. She was the sister of Jael Ong’ong’a , Meresia Ojwang’, Sabina Obiero, Anne Aliwa, Margaret Oyoko, Martin Yongo (all deceased) and Arch Bishop Emeritus — Naphtali Yongo Ol<uon of E.C.C.A (Hera mar Adier).

She was sister-in-law to Mzee Hezekiah and Mary Ochilo, Jacktone and Sarah Odero, David and Judith Otieno, Loise Oneko, Abigael Ong’ong’a and Stephen and Nereah Obimbo. She was a loving mother to; the late Samson Odhiambo, Bethy Abuga (USA), the late Martin Agutu, Joab Godson Abuga, Obadiah Otieno and the late Ruth Maggie Abuga. She was the mother-in-law to; the late Susan Odhiambo, the late Teresa Agutu, Eunice Atieno and Dorcas Otieno.

She was the Grand Mother to; Beatrice Atieno, the late Gilbert, Gordon, the late Naomi, the late Carolyne, the late Perez, Irene, Dorcas, the late Sarah, the late Vivian, Mackrobby, Risper, Maximilliana, Tina, Dorah, Naomi, Kenan, Jael, Gerald, Abraham, Irvin and Brian. She was a great grandmother to many.

The cortege leaves St. Elizabeth Mortuary Lwak on 21st April, 2022 at 3pm for a requiem service at St. Andrews Church Ngere at 4 p.m.

The interment service will commence at Ngere home, Seme Sub-County, Kisumu County from 10a.m. on Friday, 22nd April, 2022.
