Mama Jennifer Kaburo Murungi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mama Jennifer Kaburo Murungi (formerly of Kenya Medical Research Institute), that occurred on 22nd March, 2023 after a long illness.

Wife of Zablon Murungi M’Ringeera. Loving mum of Mutwiri Murungi, Muriithi Murungi, Mwongeera Murungi and Gakii Murungi-Muturi. Mother-in-law to Mukami Mutwiri, Mercy Wambui and Fred Nyenjeri Muturi. Grandmother to Jayden Koome Mutwiri, Kayleen Kaari Muriithi, Keelan Mwiti Muriithi, Lem Nyenjeri Muturi, Ika Nyakio Muturi and X,01 Mutuma Muturi.

First-born of the late Johana M’Mbogori M’ Nyange and the late Ruth Ncenkei M’Mbogori. Sister to the late Lydia Kananu, Jeremiah Kinoti, Esther Kathure, Musa Kithinji, Joyce Karimi, Solomon Mbogori, Naftaly Gikundi and Beth Ireri.

Sister-in-law to the late Julia Kinoti, Catherine Kithinji, Paul Marangu, Rose Kajuju, Edmund Ireri,the late Gerishon M’Thuranira, the late Samuel Murithi, the late Isack Bundi, Rev. Jonathan Muthuri, the late Damaris Mwari Muriuki, Jonah Kabira, and the late Jesse Gichuru. An auntie to many.

A memorial service in her honour will be held at Kariokor Methodist Church on Tuesday, 28th March, 2023 at 2:30 p.m.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home – Mbagathi , Way, on Friday, 31st March, 2023 at 6:00 a.m. for burial at her home in Kithoka, Meru.
