It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our Matriarch, Lay leader Joyce Mikali Awinja Lusiola of Springside Place, Ebusiratsi Elukongo, Ebusiratsi Location, Emuhaya Sub County, Vihiga County.

Wife of the Late Musa Mackenzie Lusiola (former District Commissioner) and daughter of the Late Isaya Abusieye Litalanga and Rebeccah Amisi Abusieye. Daughter in Law to the lace Samuel Malala M’malenge. Joyce Mikali Awinja Lusiola was mother of Kenneth E. Lusiola, Lawrence Lusiola, the late Vincent Lusiola, the late Eunice Achwanya, the late Clement Lusiola, Hannington Agoi Lusiola, Marion Simiia, the late David Lusiola, the late Charles Lusiola and Fredah Ainwick. Stepmother to the late Bernard W. Lusiola and the late Margaret Liavuli Muhingi. Mother-in-Law of Grace Jendeka Lusiola, Anne Omenda Lusiola, Betty Georgina Lusiola, Dorcas Syombua Lusiola, the lace Judy Lusiola, the late Halima Lusiola, Eva Wambui Lusiola, Irene Wanjiku Lusiola, Rose Kagonya, the late Agneta Simuli, the late Ben Muhingi, the late Milkah Lusiola, Prof. Oliver Achwanya, and David Alnwick.

Grandmother of the late Albert Lusiola, Aggrey Muhingi, Sammy Moses Lusiola, Tony Merrit Lusiola, Elvis Avisa Lusiola, Sammy Ramadhan Lusiola,Alex Lusiola, Joy Ambwaya Lusiola, Sammy Otsembo Lusiola., Mika Lusiola, Kym Adisa Alnwick-Allu and 29 others and several great grand children. Sister-in-law of the late Joel W. Malala, the late Dinah K. Agoi, the late Nathan N. Mugalo, the late Major (Rtd). Hudson P. lmbusi, Zachariah M. Kadenyi, Henry M. Isigi, the late Francis I. Malala, Martha Adisa Aloce, late Phoebe Kadenge Avisa, late Aggrey Malala Agoi, the late Judith Lugusi Silali, the late Jane Idalia Mukabana, the late Edward Amugune Luvaha Malala, Kenneth Malala Avisa, James Malala Angaya., Dr. Edgar Kadenyi.

The body is preserved at Jumuia Friends Funeral Home, Kaimosi. The cortege leaves for her home at Springside Place, Ebusiratsi Elukongo, Ebusiratsi Location, Emuhaya Sub County, Vihiga County on Thursday 25th July 2019 for a Church Service at Elukongo Church of God at 11:00 a.m. and thereafter to her home.

The burial Service and interment will be held on 27th July 2019 at her home beginning at 11.00am.
