It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the Promotion to eternal glory of Mama Judith Amunga Were, wife to SSGT (Rtd) Amos Kutsushi Were.

Daughter to the late Mzee Matendechere Amukobole and the late Mama Dorcas Mkwambo. Long surviving sister to John Nyangule, the late Amukobole, the late Amakobe, the late Awinja, the late Namiba and the late Wesaya. Sister-in-law to Mama Rhoda, the late Mama Desta, the late Selina Were, the late Flora Otinga, Teresia Otari, the late Rose Anyanga, Joyce Omukoko, the late Penina Odanga, WO2 (Rtd) Ernest Amukowa and the late Aggrey Anyembe.

Loving mother to Lt Col Eliud Ogutu, SSGT Emmanuel Mangula, Lt Col Elon Matendechere, SSGT Eric Michael Eyauma (all of KDF), Evans Wanyanga (Esibila Secondary) and Elizabeth Mkwambo (Kakamega County Hospital).

Mother-in-law to Nancy Bartilol, Jescah Webure, Lt. Col Elizabeth Muthoni, Francine Kilobi, Judy Mbati, and Joseph Abuna. Doting grandmother to Kyla, Kelti, Manuellah, Jeremy, Haddassah, Amos, Adnan, Alexander, Aaron, Ayden, Agnes, Desta, Ivy, and Amason. Dear auntie, Kukhu and friend to many.

The cortege will leave Kakamega County Hospital Mortuary at 08:00am on Thursday 12th May, 2022 for mass at ACK St. Andrew’s – Emunyiri and later interment at her home in Butere on Saturday 14th May, 2022.
