Mama Kesia Wesonga Okechi

It is with profound sorry and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mama Kesia Wesonga Okech which occurred on 14th July 2022 at Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi.

She was the fifth born of the late Joel Walufu and Salome Achieng of Buduma village, Mariachi East, Butula, Busia. She was a sister to the late Bethseba Ademba, the late Ezekiel Walufu, the late Ludia Namurumba, the Dinah, the late Loice Rawedi, Rael Deya, Aggrey Okumu and Mildred Auma.

She was co-wife to the late Sorophino Nambiro Okech.

She was the loving mother to Beatrice Adikinyi, Dr. Godrick Kokonya, Gregory Okech, Julia Nasimiyu, Hezron Ondachi, the late Janet Mutoro, Christine Okumu, Caren Nafula, Sylvester Masinde and Leah Mutoro. Mother-in-law to Agatha Kokonya, Pamela Okech, Florence Masinde, Celestine Ondachi, Michael Mutenyo, Sylvanus Masitsa, the late Otenda, Ouma, Omar Chebi, Antony Ayieko.

She was grandmother to Godliver,Allan,Willis, Mildred, Chrisantus, Hellen, the late Namai, Lilly, Darin, Brian, Quinto, Abigail, Zipporah, Rachel, Collins, Purity, Linda, Nickson, Jackson, Samwel, Phoebe, Moses, Betty, Newton, Sonia, Ian, Lewis, Junior ,Audrey, Fajab,Azaina, Nadhifa, Linsey, Miguel, Joan, Joel, Noela, Lawi. And great grandmother to 36 great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Bungoma LifeCare Hospital Mortuary on 29th July 2022 for church service and night vigil at her home. Burial will be on 30th July 2022 at her home in Musibiriri Village, Bumala B location, Butula-Busia County
