Mama Lucy Wangari Njuguna

15th April, 1950 – 3rd July, 2023

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the promotion to glory of Mama Lucy Wangari Njuguna which occurred on 3rd July, 2023 after a long illness gallantly fought with Grace.

Daughter of the late Kariuki Kimotho and the late Grace Wanjiru Kariuki.

Cherished mother to Dr. Michael Kariuki (Moi University), Bishop George Muthaka, OFM Cap (Bishop-Catholic Diocese of Garissa), Anne VVaithira and Regina Wanjiru. She was a sister, mother, grandmother and aunt to many.

Friends and family are meeting everyday for mass at her home in Gitambaya-Ruiru next to Kihunguro police post.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital Funeral Home, on Monday 10th July 2023 at 8AM for her funeral mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Ruiru which will take place at 10AM. Interment will follow thereafter at her farm in Mutonya, Ruiru, Kiambu County.
