It’s with deep sorrow and profound sadness that we announce the demise our dear loving mother Martha Apiyo Mutibo of Emakhwari village, Munami, on 28th June 2022.

Daughter of late Constant Mukenya and late Mary Nekesa of Manyole village of Nambale Township. Martha was the loving wife of the late Richard Mutibo of Emakhwari village, Munami Location, Matungu Sub-county, Kakamega. Dedicated mother of Jackton Olachi, Francis Mutibo (Department of Trade, Energy and Industrialization, Bungoma County), Bernard Okumu (Buchifl Sec Sch.), Leonard Mugenya (Ocean Freight East Africa), Peter Mutibo (People Daily), Repher Mutibo (Bukosia Enterprises), Joshua Mugoma (Jubilee Insurance), Daniel Mutibo (Kenfreight East African Ltd) and Caroline Mutibo.

Mother-in-law of Joan Olachi, Mary Namuswa, Roselyn, Josephine, Mary, Reuben Shiundu, Priscilla and the late Bob Okode. Grandmother to Kevin, Yvonne, Annette, thelate Mike Kijana,Winnie,Alvinne, Gloria, Esther, Sydney, Nicole, Jeremy, Justin, Edgar, Michael, Kiki, Harriet, Kayla, Richard, Enock, Elsie, Chrystal, Eddie Richard, Louis, Avran, Ashlyn and Adelle. Great grandmother to Tarzanna and Amani.

A loving sibling of the Okumu Ombalo siblings of Nambale; the late Cllr Urbanus Mugenya, the late Trudea,Virginia, Dismas Wanzala, Josephine, Mary Opata, Anne Makokha, Agnes Makokha, the late Catherine Akelo, Florencio Wanzala, Aroni Odanga, Rosemary Anyango, Wilfrida, Vincent Mukenya, Fred Mugenya, Kay Ken, among many others.

Sister-in-law to the late Sophia Makwari, the late Yunia Wanzala, Wycliffe Wabwire, Washington Kulundu, Paul Rupia, Nasirumbi, Truphosa, Risper, Mary, the late Patrick, the late Inviolata, the late Aggrey, among others.

The cortege leaves St Francis Funeral Home on Thursday, 7th July 2022, at 9:00am for church  service at her local ACK Church in Emakhwari. Burial service will be conducted on Friday 8th July 2022 at home and her remains interred thereafter.
