We celebrate the life of our matriarch Mama Mary Auma Opondo who passed away on 18th October 2022 at the Nairobi South Hospital.

Beloved wife of Mzee Andrew Opondo of Kwa Village, Kwa Location, Suna East, Migori County. Daughter to the late Ezekiel Luta and the late Mama Norah Anyango of Pith Nyadundo Village, South Alego Location, Migori County and step daughter to Winifred Adero and Esther Kisero. Daughter-in-law to the late Nicanor Achola and the late Mama Tabitha Ogombo and the late Mama Sophia Obuya of Rabuor Village, Seme Location, Suna East, Migori County.

Sister to the late Nelson Onyango, the late Jennifer Midega and the late Margaret Aketch, Joyce Awuor, the late Edward Lutta, the late Athanasio Lutta, late Flora Aluoch, the late Samuel Otieno, Samuel Odhiambo, Stephen Othieno and the late John Lutta, George Ochieng.

Mother to Lynnette Nyandong, the late Achola, Beatrice Oduor, Fredrick Omondi, Shem Hamisi, Evans Otieno, the late Brian Obong’o, Dorothy Opondo, Samuel Ochieng, Eva Opondo, Richard Misodho and Nelson Onyango. Mother-in-law to Francis Nyandong, Albert Oduor, Mary Okeno, Bilha Otieno and Cystry Misodho.

Grandmother to Yvonne, Michelle, Tanya, Natalie, John Paul, Natasha, Anselm, Gianna, Clinton, Dave, Lara, Cindy, Sonny, Dylan, Joab, Brigit, Nicole,Andrew, Brian,Amanda,Tamela and Jewel. Great grandmother to Dylan and Hera.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Mariakani Estate Block E Door 65 for the funeral arrangements.

There will be a funeral service today at 3.00pm at Umash Funeral Home, Raila Odinga Way.

The funeral will be held on 4th November, 2022 at her home in Kwa Village, Rabuor Location, Suna East, Migori County.
