We, the family of Amoth Owira deeply regret to announce the demise of Mama Rosa Athieno Amoth, which occurred on Tuesday 6th December 2022.

Wife of the late Senior Chief Amoth Owira of Alego Pap Boro. Daughter of the late Japuonj Gradus Wanjiri Obwar and Daria Ger of Masiro Anyiko. Sister to the late Agunja, Cecilia Aloo, the late Sophia Lala and Domtila Okuno.

Beloved mother of the late Sam Okoth Amoth, George Amoth (Ocean Agriculture), Dr. Patrick Amoth (Ministry of Health), Dr. Martina Amoth (University of Massachusetts, Avallain) and Kevin Amoth. Step-mum to Peter Amoth, Dr. Duncan Amoth (Moi University), Joachim Amoth, the late Edwin Amoth, Rebman Amoth, Gov. Rasanga Amoth, Eric Amoth, Vincent Amoth, Joan Otare amongst others.

Mother-in-law to Rachel, Easther, Sharon, Marion, Josephine, Janet. Nyawana to Marce Aguda amongst others.

Doting grandmother to Emmanuel, Trevor, Marlon, Robert, Nicole, ‘man’, Sophia, Omondi Otin (Immigration Dept) Claudio, Chege, Noel Owira, Sophie Owira, Caro Owira (Germany), George Ogolla (USA), Oscar Owira, Kevin Owira amongst others.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 16th December 2022 at 10.00am for church service at St. Paul’s Mbaga Catholic Church at 1.00pm. Burial will be held on Saturday, 17th December 2022 at her home in Alego Pap Boro- Siaya County.
