It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Rubai Chamwada Musalia of OtachoVillage, which occurred on the 7th of May 2023 at Akidiva Memorial Hospital, in Migori County.

Wife to the late Hezron Musalia Ogalo.

Daughter of the late Jacob Mudave and the late Elima Muleke.

Mother of Prof Levi Musalia (Tharaka University), the late Wycliff, the late Kadesa, the late Ephraim Nandoya, Beatrice Akikaya, Johnstone Mbitira, Florence Ozwara (Ministry of Education), Nancy Nyangai, the late Ngavala and Hannington Miheso.

Mother-in-law of Dr. Anne Mugalavai (Rongo University), Linet Nandoya, Elliot Akikaya, Mabel Mbitira, Dr. Hastings Ozwara (Institute of Primate Research) and Phanice Miheso.

Grandmother of Dr. Leen, Viona, Cynthia, Mugunda, Sheila, Collins, Vallary, Laurah, Claire, Kasim, Jaqueline, Cynthia Kahala, Sween, Sylvester, Edwin, Ruth, Faith, Stacy, Hague, Chalyne, Swynerton, Stephen, Chrisphine, Epiness, Lydia,Wenslaus and Great-grandmother to 15 wonderful great-grandchildren.

Sister to the late Esther lminza and the late Indiazi.

Sister-in-law to the late David Najoli, the late Benjamin lngaiza, the late Zipporah Vizengwa, Rachel Muhonja, Mary Undisa.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Otacho Village, Migori County for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Migori Level IV Hospital Mortuary on Friday 19th May, 2023 at 10.00am followed by a service at the home in Otacho Village and an overnight praise and worship. The Funeral service will be held at the home in Otacho Village, Migori County on the 20th of May, 2023 at 10.00am where she will later be laid to rest.
