It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the Michira family, announce the passing away of our Matriarch Mama Salome Nyairabu Michira, which occurred on 22nd August, 2023 in Nairobi.

Wife to the late Klius Michira. Co-wife to the late Alexina Bochere Michira.

Daughter to the late Tamaro Motari and the late Nyaboke Maria of Bogesaka Village.

Loving mother to Augustine Onchangu, the late Teresia Osoro, Cecilia Ogoti, Divinah Osoro, the late Peter Okweba, Fredrick Moranga, Jackline Machoka, Justus Motari, James Nyachae and Pascaria Mokua. Step-mother to Florence Mogusu, David Bichang’a, the late Beatrice Moracha, Margaret Onchari and Gladys Nyakundi.

Sister to the late Gikenyi, the late Mandere, the late Robina, Agnes and Momanyi.

Mother-in-law to Evaline, Felta, Jackline, Martha, Peter, late Ogoti, the late Osoro, the late Machoka and Gideon Mokua.

Grandmother to Onchangus, Morangas, Motaris, Nyachaes, Ogotis, Osoros, Machokas, Mokuas, Mogusus, Bichangas, Morachas, Oncharis, Nyakundis, among others. Great-grandmother to many.

The body is lying at Coptic Mission Hospital – Nairobi.

There will be a fundraiser towards offsetting the hospital bill and funeral arrangements at the Old Sanctuary -Nairobi Central SDA Church on Wednesday 30th August, 2023 at 5:30pm.

The burial service will take place on Friday 1st September, 2023 at her home of Bonyang’ande Itumbe Village, Nyamache Sub-county, Kisii County.
