It is with profound sorrow that Kola’s family announces the untimely demise of Mama Serila Abuti Kola on 21st September 2019 at her Shibuli home.

Daughter of the late Reuben Makari and the late Jenta Masakhwe of East Wanga Sub-County. Beloved wife of Joseph Mudambi Kola. Sister of Julia Nanzala, Sella Omukani, and the late Gereshom Shisero. Co-wife of the late Muchiti, Rebecca and Paulina. Doting mother of Catherine Kola (formerly of TPU HQs), Alice Mutuli (Business Lady), and Johnstone Kola (DCI HQs). Step-mother of Faustus, Jenipher, Christine, Evans, Prisca, Jean, Koffi, and Mary. Sister-in-law of Namwasi, Anjelina, Sevenzia, Mikoli, and the late Konzeli.

Mother-in-law of the late Mutuli, Mangala, Agnes, Naserian, Maurine, Beth, and Redempta. Aunt of Shiundu, Otipa, Tongoi, Wesonga, Washika, Kaunda, Ahetsa, and Mrembo. Grandmother of Lucy, Ronny, Gibson, Maximilla, Diana, Keziah, Cecilia, Nickson, Zenah, Joseph, Philip, Henry, Willy, Selly, Jenipher, and Michelle. Great-grandmother of Walter, Lanisha, Willy, Vardin, Armana, Eliazer. ‘Musabi, Clinton, Maasai, Israel, and Barry.

The cortege leaves Mukumu Funeral Home on 3rd October 2019 at 10.00am followed by a memorial service at 11.00am at the Episcopal Eshiamboko Church. Funeral service will be held on 5th October 2019 at her home in Emulele village, Shlbuli Sub-Location, Butsotso Central Location, Lurambi Central Sub-County, Kakamega County.
