It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mama Sofia Kasandi Otanga, which occurred in the morning of 6th March, 2022.
Daughter of Mzee Saulo Isinga Manzugu and the late Margaret Imbuga.
Daughter-in-law of the late Salim Sarapapi & Fatuma Orata. Beloved wife of Mr Saidi Otanga Were.
Loving mother of Nifa, Abdalla, Saumu, Fatuma, Zenah,Amina, the late Barrack & George, Osman, Farida, Bush, Mercy and many others. Sister of Mama Everlyne Musimbi, Benjamin Kirambi, Joyce Mmbone, Musa Guvadi, Evans Mudanyi and the late Milka Monyi.
In-law to Mama Mwanatena Shieni, Sada, Ursulla Wafula, Jacinta Mwangi, Nashon & Grace Mukoya, John & Christine Kerato, John & Petronilla Lukoye and David Chimoto. Sister-in-law to the

Mother-in-law to Peter, Saumu, James, Frank, Rebecca, Simon, Erick, Charity and many others. Great-grandmother of Simone.
Family and Friends are meeting daily for burial arrangements from 5.00pm at The Chatroom Restaurant in Kilimani, Komo Lane, off Argwings Kodhek Road.
The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalissa Funeral Home – Nairobi, for a funeral service on Thursday 10th March, 2022 at 7:00am.
Burial will be held on Saturday 12th March, 2022 at her home in Namamali Sub-location, Kholera Location, Matungu Sub-county, Kakamega County.
2nd Timothy 4:7 — ‘You fought the good fight, you finished the race, and you have kept the faith.’

Dear Family and Friends,
As you lay Mama Sofia to rest, we pain with you at the loss, and pray that the God of all comfort may grant you the strength and will to endure as promised in 2 Corinthians 1:3,4. which reads, Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort where with we ourselves are comforted of God.
Please keep in mind God’s promise in John 5:28,29 which states, Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Be sure to see Mama again in the near future, when God will raise her to everlasting life on a paradise earth.
