It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing away of Mama Wilkister Nyakoboke Mokaya of Nyaneke Village, Kemera Location, Nyarnira County.

Wife to the late Pastor Jackson Mokaya Momanyi.

Daughter of the late Mzee Nyachaki Nyangeria and the late Mama Kwamboka of Kiong’anyo Village, Ikongoche, Kisii County. Daughter-in-law to the late Mzee Momanyi Migiro, the late Kemunto, the late Nyaboke, the late Kwamboka and the late Moraa.

Mother to Stanley, the late Jacob, Samuel, Esther, Peter, Charles, Daniel, Robert, Tom, and Leonard. Mother-in-law to Lora, Grace, Prof Michieka, Eileen, Rose,Alice, Edna, Olwethu, and Veronica. Grandmother to the Momanyi’s, the Kemunto’s, the Moraa’s, the Nyakundi’s, the Kerubo’s; Nyareso, Amenya, Michieka, Nyabonda, Abaya, Maranga, Mokeira, Baraka and Isenathi, among others. Great-grandmother to Abaya, Chante, Amali, Ryan, Erica, Ratemo, Joshua, Michelle, James, Baraka, Asa, Ada and Allan among others.

Sister to the late Mama Marube, the late Maranga, the late Kebaya, the late Getanda and the late Nyachaki.

Sister-in-law to the late Mariera, the late Somoni, the late Nyabonda, the late Migiro, the late Abaya, the late Onduso, the late Memba, King’oina, Mosomi and Bosire; the late Mokeira, the late Migiro, the late Nyareso, the late Mary, the late Jemima, the late Nyakina, the late Ondieki, the late Nyakoboke, the late Nyabonyi; Binyanya, Nyabiya and Aska.

Family, friends and well wishers are meeting as planned for evening prayers at her home at Kemera/Nyaneke Village.

The cortege will leave Kisii University Medical School Funeral Parlour at 10.00am on Thursday, 13th July, 2023 for a Church Service at Victory SDA Church – Kemera, followed by an overnight stay at her home at Kemera/NyanekeVillage. The burial ceremony will take place on Friday, 14th July, 2023 commencing at 8.00am.
