MARGARET AOKO OKUNDI (NYAKODO)

 1939 — 2019

The Okundi family regrets to announce the death of their beloved mother, Margaret Aoko Okundi (Nyakodo) who died on the 14th Februry 2019 after a long illness bravely endured.

She was the wife of Eskar Okundi Olweya of Kanyadhiang village, Kendu Bay, Homa Bay County. She was the daughter of the late Kodo Onuko and Teresiah Anyango of Kochia, Kawura sub location, Homa Bay County. She was the daughter in law to late Nathan Olweya and Esther Awuor Olweya. She was mother to Doris Atieno, the late Akinyi, the late Janet Rajabu, Luka Okundi (KISE), Steve Okundi (Monarch Insurance), Benson Okundi (PwC), Jerusha, Adah Adhiambo and Trizah Okundi.

She was sister to late Samwel Onuko, Adrian Okombo, Chrisantus Dwalo, Patrick Ndege, Marcelina Onyango, Peninah Akeyo, Roselida Osodo, Alfred Yogo and Vitalis Owino. She was the Mother in law to Appeles Okundi, Rehema Okundi and Hellen Okundi. Nyakodo is survived by many grandchildren. She was sister in law to Late Dr. Walter Abila, Late Adah Opundo, Gina Ogutu, Beldina Ochiago, Dursilla, Selina Auma and the late Mudah Olweya.

The cortege will arrive at her home in Kanyadhiang, Kendu Bay, on 21st February 2019.

The Burial will take place at her home on 22nd February 2019.

Nyakodo fought a good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. May her Soul rest in Eternal Peace. AMEN.
