It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Margaret Wanjiru Gathuru which occurred on Friday, 15th February, 2019.

Daughter of the late George Gathuru Githuka and the late Loise Gakima Gathuru. Wife to the late Edward Waithaka Wachaiyu. Loving mother of Stephen Wachaiyu Waithaka, George Gathuru Waithaka and Martin Mbugua Waithaka. Mother-in-Law to Naomi Wangui, Beatrice Muthoni and Catherine Wairimu. Sister of the late Victoria Njeri, the late John Githuka, Alfred Waiganjo, the late Janet Muthoni, Fred Ng’ang’a, the late Ephantus Ngugi, Salome Wangui, Lucy Wanjiku and the late Mary Nyokabi.

Grandmother to Vanessa, Trevor, James, Mukeni, Melvin and Stephanie. Daughter-in-Law to the late Thomas Wachaiyu and Harriet Njeri. Sister-in-Law to Mary Wanjiku, the late Samuel Mbugua, Vincent Gichamba, the late Charles Kibe, the late Bernard Gakuru, Igiria Wachaiyu and the late Esther Nyokabi.

Friends and relatives will be meeting at Ngong’ Hills Home and Antonio’s Grill in Nairobi CBD at 6pm for funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Friday 22nd February 2019 at 9.30am for funeral service and burial thereafter at the Ngong’ Hills Home.
