Margaret Wanjiru Ngugi

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Margaret Wanjiru Ngugi formerly of DCI HQs which occurred on 19 April, 2023 at KU Referral Hospital after a prolonged illness.

Daughter to the late Joseph Muhia and the late Mary Wanjiku. Daughter-in-law to the late Geoffrey Munjuga Nganga and the late Esther Njeri Munjuga.

Loving wife to Peter Ngugi Munjuga formerly of Barclays Bank. Mother to Njeri Ngugi (Royal Media Services), Geoffrey Munjuga (Tower Sacco) and Kevin Muhia (KDF). Mother-in-law to Ruth Wangui Kimani and grandmother to Jasmine Wanjiru Munjuga.

Sister to the late Kabul Muhia, Gichuru Muhia, late Ndungu Muhia, Kariuki Muhia, Nganga Muhia, Kamau Muhia, Njeri Muhia, Macharia Muhia and Nyambura Muhia.

Sister-in-law to the late Nganga Munjuga, Wambui Mburu, Wanjiru Munjuga, Waithira Kimemia, Mungai Munjuga, Kimani Munjuga, Njuguna Munjuga and Nyambura Munjuga. Favourite Auntie, Cousin and great friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting at her home in Membley Estate (Island Court).

The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home (Bypass) on 11th May, 2023 at 8:00am for a funeral service at PCEA Membley church, Ruiru from 9:00am. Thereafter the burial will take place at Ngamba village an Kamahindu, Lari sub- county at 1:00pm.
