Son of the Late Edward Kibowen Cheptoo and the late Kobilo Cheptoo. Beloved husband of Karen Jepkemei. Doting father of Eddy Kipchumba Bowen. Prince Eddy Kiprotich Bowen (Kamala), Zena Jepkorir Bowen (Kobilo), Elvis Kipkememoi Bowen (Sawachan), Ethan Kiplimo Bowen and Eliam Kiptoo Bowen.

Brother of Thomas Bowen, Simon Komen, Paul Arap Bowen and Abraham Bowen.

Cousin Brother of Richard Kirauni, Late Jacob Chelimo, Peter Kipkore, Late Barnaba Seronei,Wilfred Kipkore, Sylvester Boken, Barnaba Kipkore, Ma-Kaino, Ma-Kimosop, Margaret Josephine.

Son-in-law of Henry Sigilai and Hellen Sigilai. In-law to Vivian Jerono, Abel Boreto, Lawi Boreto, Hulda Jerotich, Ma Kipkemoi, Ma Rutto, Late Lydia Chebii, Miriam Chebii, Ma Jemutai Chelimo, Jennifer Seronei, Margaret Bowen, Penina Maiyo, Judy Komen and Susan Suter.

The cortege left Moi Teaching and Referral hospital Mortuary yesterday 19th May, 2022. Funeral service and Burial will held today 20th May, 2022 at his farm Chepkanga, Uasin Gishu County as from 10.00am.
