Martin Maurice Makokha Luteka
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the demise of Martin Maurice Makokha Luteka which occurred on 28th January 2023 after a long battle with Diabetes and High Blood Pressure.
He was the Son of the late Luteka Chipondo, Omubuya and the late Priscilla Nekosa Khaoya, Omutilu. Son-in-law to the late Wllbrand Kisuya and the late Rebecca Nakitare.
Beloved husband to Juliet Naliaka, Omutiblo, father to Linda Nasike, Christine Nakhubilia, Brian Luteka, Melissa Nanjaya, Edwina Murunga, Winnie Kilisa, Maureen Chonge and Dennis Lutteka. Grandfather to Rick, Sharon, Nichiren, Isaac, Sarah, Amber, R&M and Monna. Great grandfather to one great grandson Luiz Njoroge.
Brother to Vincent Wamalwa, George Masika, Callaghan Wamema, Beatrice Chonge and Concepta Nafula.
Father-in-law to Victor Kinyanjui, Felix Omondi, Alfred Abaja and Juma Nyongesa.
A brother-in-law, to Consolata Simiyu, Janet Wamema, Getrude Juma, Peter Kisuya, Aggrey Kisuya, Anna Wanyonyi; the late Hellen Simiyu, Margaret Bitobu among others, a cousin to Protus Wekesa, Lazarus Misiko and an uncle to Celestine, Sikuwata, Alfred, among others.
Family and friends are meeting at Mr. Makokha’s house in Buruburu Phase 4 house no.55 daily from 5.00pm for prayers and burial arrangements.
A requiem mass will be held Tuesday, 7th February 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Buruburu (Phase 3 Opposite Phase IV) along Mumias South Road, Buruburu from 1.00pm.
There will be a fundraising on Tuesday, 7th February 2023 at Holy Family Basilica, St.Cecilia Hall at Cardinal Otunga Plaza on 5″ Floor, Nairobi CBD next to GPO from 5.30pm.
The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on 8th February 2023 for burial on Saturday, 11th February 2023 at his rural home in Kware/Lunao Village, North Miyanga Sub-location, Kimatuni location, Bumula Division, Bungoma County.
