Martin Odhiambo Ambayo

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Martin Odhiambo Ambayo which occurred on 13/01/2023 at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital (KUTRRH), after a long battle with illness. Until his death he had retired having worked at the Ministry of Sports and later the Ministry of Labour and Social Services.

Son of the late Mzee Edwin Ambayo and Mama Joan Akello.

Husband to the late Philister Achieng’ Opere.

Brother to Joshua, the late Awuor and the late Auma.

Son-in-law to the late Romanus Opere and Mary Nyaundi.

Father to Irene, Fred, Erick, Sheila and the late Evans. Grandfather to Valyne, Malia, Sheylene, Shainaz, Viona, Ivan and Malika.

There will be a requiem service at KUTRRH Funeral Home Chapel on 26/01/2023 at 2.00pm.

The cortege leaves KUTRRH Funeral Home on 27/01/2023, then proceeds to his home in Gem Wagai, Siaya County, where he will be laid to rest on 28/01/2023.
