Marvin Julius Matani Otenyo

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing on of Marvin Julius Otenyo, which occurred on Sunday 23rd April, 2023 in Arizona, USA, in his sleep.

A cherished son to Prof. Eric Otenyo (Northern Arizona University) and Mary Khayesi Otenyo (USA). Loving brother to Jane and Colin Pedron (USA) and Sophy Sakwa (USA).

Grandson to the late Eng. Julius and Mwalimu Jane Otenyo and The Late Mr. and Mrs. George Lubembe. Nephew to Matanda Wabuyele (Koa Farm) and the late Dr. Margaret Otenyo- Matanda, William Otenyo and Farida (Kisumu), Timothy Otenyo and Catherine Otenyo (Kakamega County Gov), Kennedy Ayanga (Wachara Secondary) and Beatrice Ayanga (Vihiga County Referral Hosp), Pamela Otenyo (Director, Immigration), Lameck Siage (Sierra Leone) and Nancy Siage (KIST), the late Arthur, Lisky,Anthony Otenyo (Min. of Youth) and Velma (NPS), Eyup and Nelly-Ibis (Netherlands), Sylvester and Maureen (Nairobi), Moses Lubembe (Kakamega), Rose Waka (NRB), Edward Lubembe(USA), Steven and Judith amongst others.

A special nephew to AIG Lazarus Opicho (NPS) amongst others.

Cousin to Harry, Blessing, Julius,Allan Buju, Dr. Ketty, joy Ayanga (Public Health), Cornelius and Innocent Ayanga, Meredith and Kettie Sambu, Lynne Siage, Alvin Otenyo amongst others.

The body is scheduled to arrive from the USA on 11th May 2023 night and will be transferred to Maseno on 12th May, 2023, morning.

There will be Memorial Service at The ACK Holy Trinity Church, Maseno-Luanda Rd on Friday 12th May, 2023 at 12 noon followed by a night vigil at his family home.

The final service will be held at the ACK Ebusakami Primary School grounds on 13th May, 2023 from 9.00a.m. Marvin will be bid to rest at his family home at Esnamtu, Luanda (behind Tripple T Restaurant).
