It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Mary Jemaiyo Tum, which occurred at St. Luke’s Hospital on 29th March, 2023. Until her demise she was an employee of University of Eldoret.
Daughter of the late Raphael Cheruiyot Kimoi, the late Salome Sogome and Flora Teriki. Daughter-in-law to the late William Cheptum, Milka Cheptum and Pauline Cheptum.
Loving wife to the late Daniel Tum. Loving mother to Dr. Jane, Leonard, Maureen, Linda, Mercy and Faith. Mother-in-law to Geoffrey Chepkwony. Grandmother to Brian, Elvis and Edward.
Sister to Timothy, Hillary, Lydia, Charles, Robert, Elizabeth, Felix, Ken, Doris, Michael, the late Salina, the late John and the late Harry.
Sister-in-law to the late Nathaniel Turn, the late John Turn, Penis, Celine, Kibet, Joyce, Karen, the late Naom and the late Elizabeth. Cousin to many.
The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 11th April, 2023, for a requiem Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral – Eldoret, at 10.00am thereafter for an overnight vigil at her home, Uswo Uasin Gishu County. The Funeral will take place on Wednesday, 12th April, 2023 at her home in Uswo, Uasin Gishu County.
