Mary Muthoni Mbugua Mukuna

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mary Muthoni Mbugua Mukuna of Thakwa village, Githunguri.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Mbugua wa Mukuna and Hannah Wanjiru Mbugua. Her siblings are the late Njihia Mbugua, the late Salome Njambi Muniu, the late Naomi Wangari Mugendi, the late James Kimani Casey, the late Peter Kiunge Mbugua (Munyinyi) and Alice Nyambura Mbugua (Kitale).

She was the mother of the late Joe ‘Rogers’ Mbugua, Steve Mbugua, the late Hannah Wanjiru and Casey Mbugua. Loving Mother-in-law to Margaret Mbugua, acinta Njihia, Peter Macharia Githinji and Lucy Casey. She was blessed with 17 grand children and 14 great grand children.

The family and friends are holding daily prayer meetings on 23rd & 24th March, 2023 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Parish Ridgeways starting from 5:30pm, as well as in her home in Thakwa village, Githunguri from 5.00pm.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday 26th March, 2023 in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Parish Ridgeways from 3.00pm. We have an alternate Memorial service in her home Thakwa village, Githunguri on Sunday 26th March, 2023 from 3.00pm.

The cortege will leave Mukoe Funeral home in Githunguri on 28th March, 2023 at 8:30am for a funeral service at Africa Independent Pentecostal Church of Kenya at 10am and thereafter burial at her home.
