Mary Mwari Kiruja

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mrs. Mary Mwari Kiruja, which occurred at the Coptic Hospital, Nairobi on Tuesday, 2nd August, 2022.

Loving wife to Mwalimu Bernard Kiruja Mburia. Daughter to the late Jackson M’Rukaria Mwirebua and the late Rebecca M’Rukaria. Step-daughter to the late Tabitha M’Rukaria. Mother to Emily Gakii, Christine Gacheri, Maurice Murithi, Judith Kawira, Jack Muthomi and the late James Mutuma. Mother-in-law to Longino Mucheusi, Edwin Omori, Hellen Karimi, Kiprotich Samoei and Susan Muthomi.

Sister to the late Doris Kiruki, Lucy Kithinji, Alice Mbaya, Francis Riungu and Karimi Simiyu. Sister-in-law to the late M’Nkanata M’Mburia, the late Silas Mwarania and Martha Muthamia.

Grandmother to Martin, Mike, the late Chelsea, Neema, Bencarson, Munene, Kimutai, Kinya, Chelangat, Kendi, Kiprono and Lily.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at her Kionyo, Murungurune home, South Imenti, Meru County.

The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home at 9.00 am for the funeral mass at St. Paul’s Njogune Catholic Church on Friday, 12th August 2022 starting 10.00 am and thereafter burial will take place at her Murungurune home.
