It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Mary Nyambura Cyrus.

Daughter of the late Solomon Mutura and the late Bethseba Warwinu.

Wife of the late Cyrus Kimani Mbatia Shem. Mother to Ann Njeri, the late Isabel Warwinu, Lucy Kabura, Humphrey Mbatia, Jane Waigwe, Solomon Mutura and Anthony Munene.

Sister to Anthony Waituika, Alban Chege, the late Jane Waigwe, James Njuguna, Moffat Kamau, Kelly Gitong’a, the late Arthur Gakahu and Joyce Muthanga (formerly of KEMRI).

Mother-in-law to Ephantus Mwangi, Florence Wangui of Nairobi City Council, former Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wairia, Corina Njeri and Ann Nyambura of Murang’a County Service Board. She was a grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at her home in Gitui Village, Wangu Ward, Weithaga Location, Kahuro Sub-county, Kiharu, Murang’a and at Nairobi All Saints Cathedral for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Funeral Home on Friday 12/05/2023 at 7.00am followed by the funeral service from 10.00am at her home in Gitui Village, Wangu Ward, Weithaga Location, Kahuro Sub-county, Kiharu, Murang’a County.

Nyina wa Njeri, you have fought a good fight, kept the faith and finished the race. Glory be to God.
