Mary Theresa Okalebo

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Mrs. Mary Theresa Okalebo after a short illness bravely borne.

Daughter of the late Joseph Mulu and Margaret Asiyo.

Wife to the late Prof. John Robert Okalebo. Mother to the late Christine Apeduno, Samuel Malinga, Lorna Ikol Knight (UK), Faith Apolot (UoN), Jane Asiyo (USA), the late Samuel Emasit, Charles Malinga and Susan A. Dowling (Australia).

Mother-in-law to Annette, Scholastic Mutua, David Cherutich, Justin Dowling and Mike Knight.

A loving grandmother to Faith Agoye, Mercy Abala, the late Vivian, Matthew Etyang, Maria, Michaella, Joseph Emasit, Melissa, Mary Diana, John Mark, John Robert Okalebo, John Robert Kimutai, Alex Knight, Victor Knight and Emily Dowling.

Requiem mass will be held at 2.00pm at St. Joseph Cathedral – Ngong Township, on 29th March, 2023 followed by overnight vigil in Seketo Court – Ngong.

A second requiem mass will be held at 11.00am, 30th March, 2023 at Christ the Redeemer Church, Kapsoya, Eldoret and at 8.00am on 31st March, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church – Malaba.

Burial will take place on the 1st April, 2023 from 9.00am in Miroi, Bukedea District in Eastern Uganda.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers, funeral and burial arrangements at the Seketo Court, Ngong Residence.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
