It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that the family and entire fraternity of Uthiru Girls High School announce the demise of Mary Wangari Karanja, which occurred on 16/03/2022, after a short illness.

Until her demise Wangari was a teacher at Uthiru Girls’ Secondary School. Daughter of Julius Karanja Gicharu and Catherine Nyambura Karanja.

Mother to Elvis Gachanja Muiruri. Sister to Sarah Wanjiku, Japhat Irungu, Lilian Wambui, Michael Kimani, the late Rose Wanjiru and Mercy Ng’endo. An aunt and a cousin to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting for prayers and arrangements at Lilian’s place – Juhudi B Estate, Kenyatta Road – Black and White Hotel (Kirinyaga Road) and the parent’s home in Gachocho, from 6:00pm daily.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home (Kabati), on Saturday 26/03/2022 at 8am for a service and burial at their home Gachocho Village, Kigumo, Murang’a County.

May the Lord rest her soul in eternal peace.
