It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mary Wangari Wachira Mario of Kiinu Village Chinga Location Othaya Sub-county Nyeri County, which occurred on 24th July 2021 after a short illness.

Loving wife of Mario Wachira Thuita. Daughter of the late Gatu Karuiru and Late Regina Murugi Gatti. Sister of the late Domisio Kamuiru, late Jacinta Wanjiru Gacure, Teresa Muringi Ndiritu, late Gregory Kimani and the late John Maina Thuita.

Loving mother of Patrick and Lucy Thuita (Kawanjiku Foundation), Stanley and Jane Gatu, Virginia Muringi and Munuhe, Augusune and Purity Mahianyu (Orient Scientific Ltd), Regina Murugi and Hiram (Razor Brand Ventures),Veronica and Michael Votsis (Greece), Jacinta Wanjiru.

Grandmother to Edward, Nicholas, Caro T, Macharia, Mario Jnr and Rose (Goldenpoits Wines & Spirits), Kennedy, Eric, Caro M., Potty, Ian, Kelvin, Victoria, Sandra, Sheila Shawn, Smith, Daphne, Clio, Phoebe, Brian, Chris, and Harriet.

Great grandmother to Angel, Israel, TJ, Gathoni, Camron, Nadia, McQueen, Harvin, Eden, Cloye and Davie jnr. Aunt to Thuita and Lilies Gacure, Thuita James and Ann Ndiritu, Thuita and Murugi Kimani and many others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Huhoini Kiinu Village, Chinga Location, Othaya Sub- county in Nyeri County and today on Thursday 29th July 2021 at Castle Gardens-Nairobi from 5 pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The Cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home on 31 July 2021 at 9.00ani followed by a funeral service at Kiinu Primary School from 11:00AM. She will later be laid to rest at Huhoini Kiinu Village.
