Mary Wangechi Mwaniki

It is with a deep sense of loss, a heavy heart and sorrow but with humble acceptance of God’s divine will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mrs. MaryWangechi Mwaniki on Friday, 9th June, 2023 after a short illness.

Wife to the late Dr. Charles Mwaniki Kamara (former Mayor of Nyeri). Mother to Diana Wachuka Wambaki, Rose Muthoni, the late Jackson Kamara Mwaniki, the late Richard Wanjau Mwaniki, Paul Njeru Mwaniki, Nyaga Mwaniki, Francis Kibe Mwaniki, the late Rahab Wanjiku Mwaniki, the late Daniel Ngeche Mwaniki and Sammy Ndegwa Mwaniki. Step-mother to Rahab Wanjiku Mwaniki, Nelson Kamara Mwaniki, Dr. Stanley Wangenye Mwaniki, Dr. Damaris Wangui Mwaniki and Martha Gakenia Mwaniki. She was auntie, grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at her residence -Thunguma, Nyeri for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Mathari Consolata Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday 21st June, 2023 at 9:00am for funeral service and burial at her residence in Thunguma, Nyeri County.
