Mrs Mary Wangui Wamutitu has rested and departed to be with the lord.

Wife to the late Robert Wamutitu Wanjohi. Mother to Philip Wanjohi Wamutitu (EABL), Joseph Mukunya Wamutitu, Francis Munyeki Wamutitu (CAD), George Wachira Wamutitu (CBK) and the late Peris Nyakinyua Wamutitu. Mother-in law to Esther Wanjohi, Fatuma Mukunya, June Munyeki and Mary Wachira.

Grandmother to Alvin, Winnie Wanjohi, Wangari, Wamutitu Mukunya, Eugene, Sasha, Immanuel, Wanjohi Munyeki, Clarence & Olivia Wachira and Brian Wamutitu. Great-grandmother to Nate.

Daughter to the late Joseph Mukunya Wachira, the late Tabita Mukunya and the late Monica Mukunya of Ihithe village, Nyeri County. Sister to the late Eliza Njugi, Miriam Kimani, the late Elisheba Mathenge, Priscilla Duncan, the late Justice Samuel Mukunya, Joan Ndengeri, Catherine Gitau, Charles Mukunya, Eliza Kariuki, Wilson Kanyeria, Esther Magayu, Mary Musyoka, Cyrus Mukunya, Elisheba Waweru, Jane Machira, Eunice Mwai and Paul Mukunya.

Daughter-in-law to the late Wanjohi Munyeki and the late Nyakinyua Munyeki of Ihururu, Nyeri County. Sister-in-law to the late Francis Munyeki, Irene Ngure, Charles Gitahi, Rahab Mukami, Nancy Mukunya & Becky Mukunya among others.Aunt, cousin, grandmother and friend to many.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home, Thika Road on Wednesday, 19 April 2023 at 7.00am. Funeral service will be held at ACK St Peter’s Cathedral, Nyeri town from 10.30am and thereafter burial at Nyamakuyu village, Ihururu, Nyeri County.
