It is with grieving hearts and sorrow, but with the humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing on of Mary Wanjiru Mariga of Kihoya, Kangema, Murang’a on Saturday 16th July, 2022.

Daughter of the late Kiumu Muhuhe and the late Gachambi Kiumu ofWambwe, Mathioya. Beloved wife of the late James Mariga Mwathi. Loving mother to Irene Wanja (Wa-Kihoya), the late Samson Wanjie (Kirichi), Simon Mariga (Mulucky, Shauri Mayo & formerly of KTDA), Julius Thuo (Nginda Primary), Lucy Muiga (Ruiru), Josphat Mariga (Forester, Bomet), Joseph Mucheru (Simire), Paul Mariga (Kamiti Prisons), John Mariga (Rongai Boys), Boniface Mariga (USA) and Alex Kuria (Mpesa). Mother-in-love to James Muiga Muthondu (Kens Metal Industries Ltd). An adoring grandma and Great-grandmother to many children.

Fond sister to Magerita (Kinangop), Mbaru, Treza (Mwea), Gachie, Muthui, Muracia (Kinangop), Kabura (Gatunguru), Muhuhe, Kariuki (Shamata), Wangari Kiumu, the late Kimonye, the late Kireru, the late Muthui (Ngacura), the late Mwangi (Shoto), the late Warima, the late Wangui, the late Nyawira & the late Elenia Kiumu.

Aunt to Mina Wanja Ndung’u (Moto), Dr. Wanjii (JKUAT), Lucy Njambi and Maina Kireru, among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at Silvermine Accra Road, Nairobi and Kihoya home, from 5.00pm. Support through Simon Mariga 0713727912.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home – Kabati on Wednesday 27th July 2022 t 7.00am. Funeral Service will be at ACK St. Barnabas – Kihoya at 11.00am. Thereafter burial at her home Kihoya in the afternoon.
