MaryAnne Wanja Njiru

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of MaryAnne Wanja Njiru, which occurred on Friday 9th April, 2021, at Kiirua Mission Hospital. Until her demise she was Deputy Principal of Eriani Secondary School (Mukothima), Tharaka North.

Daughter of the late Zacharia Kithinji and Esther Karimi of Gakuuni Village, Chuka Sub-county. Daughter-in-law to late Junius Muchiri and Tarasila Ciambaka of Mungoni Village, Chuka Sub-county. Beloved wife of Mr. Fredrick Njiru Muchiri (Pest Control Products Board, NBI). Mother to the late Victor Muthomi, JoyWeddy Gail Kanana (Twiga Chemicals, NBI) and Master-Emmanuel Muchiri (Kathituni Boarding Primary School).

Sister to Veronica Kagendo, Felix Kinyua, Edward Mugendi (Probation – Murang’a), the late Michael Murithi, Fr. Lawrence Mwenda (USA), Maurice Nyaga and Charles Gitonga. Sister-in-law to Josyline Kangai, Casty Kawira, Floridah Kiende, Jedidah Makena, Ndeke, Kamami, the late Kathuni, Margaret, Kagendo, Murk’, Gatune, Gitari, Salesio, Karimi, Patrick, Gatakaa, Pharis, Mukwanyaga, the late Elias, Justa, Justin, Gatakaa Munene, Kanini, Kirimi, Kainda and Kathambi. An aunt to Martin, Arnold, Pamela, Kinyua, Mwende, among many others.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at her home Mungoni village, Mucwa Sub-location.

The cortege leaves Kiirua Mission Hospital Mortuary, on Wednesday 14thApril, 2021 at 8.00am, followed by funeral service at Mucwa Catholic Church.
