Matoka Michori

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Matoka Michori of Metembe Village, Masimba Ward, Masaba South Sub-county, Kisii County and Syokimau Nairobi. Former employee of Kenya Forestry Research Institute – Muguga and East Africa Community, also former KANU Chairman – KARI, Muguga Sub-location.

Husband to the late Martha Kwamboka formerly of Kenya Forest Service, Karura. Father to the late Samson Ongeri, Esther, Emily (USA), Lydia (France), Isaac and Leakey. Father-in-law to Tahir (France),Timothy (USA) and Eng Nelson. Grandfather to Leroy,Vanessa (France), Gabriella, Sizzla, Randy Skeete, Nile (France).

Brother to the late lsaaka, the late Ogutu, the late Omenda, Obino and Moraa.

Nephew to the late Oganga, Magati, Sure, Oirere, Meraba, Ongeri, Matoke, Ombati, Magori, Maanwa, among others.

Cousin to Boraya, the late Omwenga, the late Daudi, the late Mokurumi, Mose, Oiriga, Nyamwamu, the late Mwambi, the late Subo, Ongau, the late Nyarunda, Matoke (OCS), among others.

Son-in-law the late Mwengei Orora and MamaTeresa Mokeira of Gesabakwa. Brother-in-law to the late Wilikister Mogere, the late Nyang’ate Isaka, Kerubo Obino, Kwamboka Omenda ,Isaac, osephine, the late Salome, Thomas, Stella, the late Mishael, Bwari, Nyamari, the late Margaret and Daudi, Mogotu, Gesare and Korera to Mary and Mwanaisha Said.

The body is lying at Umash Funeral Home.

The main fundraising will be held on the 25th April, 2023 at both the professional Centre – Nairobi, from 5.00pm to 8.00pm and at his Metembe home in Kisii County.

The burial will be held on 28th April, 2023 at his Metembe home in Masimba Ward, Kisii County.
