Matriarch Joyce Njura Kangi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the peaceful death of a great Matriarch, Joyce Njura Kangi, on 5th July 2022.

Wife of the late Mwalimu Phineas Kangi Gachora, daughter to the late Kamirici wa Kabuchoru, and the late Nahamas Njuuri and the late Margaret Kamwere. Sister to Agnes Ikamba and the late Kinga, Njogu and lreri.

Mother to the late Edith (Fides) Rwamba, Twins Dr Dadson Kariuki Kangi & the late Jennifer, the late Wambeti, the late Elias Mwaniki, Muthoni & Stephen Waweru Kibuku, Ann Julia & Stephen Kariuki Paul, Damaris Wanyaga & Kithinji Kiragu (KK), Jane Mary Gachora, the late John Mark & Gladys Nyaga, the late Samuel & Susan Gachora, and Pauline Njoki.

Grandmother to Joseph Nyaga, Moffat Muriithi Kangi, Joyce, Emily, Timothy, Warui, Fundi, Mwalimu, Wanjiku, Mukami, Munene, Bob & many others. Great-grandmother & great-great-grandmother to many.

Family & friends are meeting for prayer and burial arrangements at ACK All Saints Cathedral (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 5-7pm) and at Kiairangu Mutunduri home (daily beginning 4.00pm).

The cortege leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home (KUTRRH) on Friday, 15th July 2022 at 6.30 am for funeral service at ACK St Matthews Kiangima Church, Embu, at 10.00 am, and thereafter interment at her home, Kiairangu Village, Mutunduri, Embu County.
