It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the demise of Matunda Maruko Obaga (MM) of Mecheo Village, Borabu Sub-county, Nyamira County on 19th April, 2021, at Aga Khan Hospital – Nairobi, while undergoing treatment.

Son of the late David Obaga Maruko and the late Yunuke Nyasuguta. Step-son of the late Kerubo, Hellena and the late Pacifica. Husband of Mary Kemuma and Companion to Alice Mocheche. Father of Nyagaka, Lorna, Laban, the late Geoffrey, the late Dr. Joash, the late Kamwana, Tyvon and Audrey. Father-in-law of Kerubo, Jackson, Dee and Lemina. Grandfather of Edwin, Nyanchama, Ian, Lameck, Clinton, Elam, Leah, Imani, Dean and Milian.

Brother of Clemencia, Thomas, Jomo, Esther, Anari, Mary, Marcella and Jane. Step-brother of the late Nyareso, the late Omboga, the late Kemuma, the late Maruko, Matunda, Ondieki, the late Douglas, Mocha, George among others. Uncle of Clemencias, Onsongos, Jomos, Michiekas, Anaris, Mengos, Mogambis, Okellos, and many others.

Son-in-law of Maranga Chuma and the late Boera. Brother-in-law of Salome, Hellen, Josephine, Roselydah,Tom, Mary Anari, Mengo, Mogambi, Okello and Marangas. Cousin of Motanyas, Nyakang’is, Nyandegas, Montes, Mokuas, Asibas, Kimoris, Bichages, Maseses, Eunice Omwansa, among others.

Funeral arrangement are on-going and burial date will be announced later.
